Sounds like my kind of holiday lol.. I remember talking to Dee about the Scottish boarders, saying how I'd love to live in the middle of nowhere.. She didn't wanna, swiftly changed my mind after that though secretly still like too. You got a specific destination for us so we can check just how desolate and frankly fantastic this place is?. Anyhoo have a nice wee holiday Tiger

Wow that bamboozled the brain when I looked up Eskdalemuir and indeed saw a Buddhist monetary.. Know I shouldn't say it but how in the hell did that come about? cool though. Are you going there? they got rooms as well I see, can think of worse religions to follow. In fact I've considered Buddhism myself lol

Have a good un Tiger. Could do with getting away permanently to some place like that. Not having our brains frazzled even further by any wifi signals.

Does look pretty spectacular, just amazed they got permission to build a monastery there. I've always been fascinated in their culture, had no idea there was a chance to go see something akin to their homeland in Bonnie Scotland.. Just canni get my head round how they ended up there and built it, must have been the deep fried mars bars. As good an explanation as any
So where did Bonnie Scotland come from? it's A Laurel And Hardy film lol so not sure it's based on that or not.. Ain't seen them on TV in donkeys years, and what's happened to Tom and Jerry while we're talking missing things on the box. Do we really have to go on kids TV to watch it these days
I'll never get tired of watching Oliver Hardy's facial expressions

I noticed that it said Tibetan Buddhist Monastery. In Tibet they get a huge amount of hassle from the Chinese authorities, China is basically trying to destroy their culture, so maybe some of them decided to move to Scotland to avoid all that. I don't really know what the landscape and weather is like in Tibet but somehow I kind of imagine that it could well be like Scotland's.

Good point, tis a cold place indeed Tibet not to dissimilar climate wise and the landscapes are reminiscent too. Is there anywhere sacred these days where people cannot just live out their lives in peace? without interference. Not like Buddhism is known for it's violence is it? lol I thought they just went around going ommmmmmmm ommmmmmm..

Well whenever I go into the chatroom on NLL 9 times out of 10 it's silent in there too. Makes you wonder what percentage of these profiles are actually real or ones made up to make it look like there's people on.
It was funny when someone was conducting an interview in there one day.. Also had a con artist in there and I was playing along. Took screenshots too, I'll post that later.

NLL needs more members really. Jim needs to advertise it more.
