This probably means more to us Brits than most other nations as our weather is atrocious and our days heading towards winter become ever more gloomy. Anyhoo SAD if people don't already know stands for 'seasonal affective disorder'.. Basically it's people who become withdrawn and depressed as Autumn hits and the days become shorter, colder.. By the time Winter comes round people who have it, they're as gloomy as the weather itself
Just reading this article about it, apparently effects one in 15 here. I don't doubt it's a real thing but feel there maybe somewhat of a bandwagon on this illness, people willy-nilly saying they have it because. Yes it would be ruddy depressing for most people
So does anyone think they have it? for me personally when I was younger use to love the Autumn/Winter and going out when the air is fresher and no one could see me.. Made me feel much more comfortable, if anything I had Summer Affective Disorder lol.. No I'd say nowadays the gloominess can get to me but being agoraphobic it doesn't effect me as much lol
