We've had bit of a spider manifestation in the household lately. Don't mind the daddy long leg spiders they just hang about mostly but we've also had these smallish ones who've obviously been having babies and they are all over the house.. What I've just witnessed though is crazy, one big mother fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu of a spider. These buggers are getting bigger, in fact I know they say they have been
I tried taking a few snaps of it but will see tomorrow. It was in between a cupboard.. Anyway it came out and I splatted it, yeah they're more scared of you than you are of it but man I'm sh** scared of them bigguns like that.. No way would I be able to sleep tonight knowing it was there, waiting to pounce on me.
The biggest spiders in the UK though live in our walls.. Never knew they existed and they are much bigger than you'd ever imagine, look them up if you dare then thank god you don't live in Australia where it's even worse. No offence to Aussies

Yeah I'd never fancy living or even going to Australia. To hot to many spiders and snakes, don't even think Kangaroos and Koalas could persuade me to go as much as I love em. Well I dunno Though...

To think some people consider the spider a delicacy along with the scorpion too for that matter Anyhoo they ain't all bad... Look

But surely that would entail picking them up first? unless in the bath, why put yourself through it. No I have got somewhere my specially designed spider capture device, like in the Ghostbusters or something.. OK so it might be a bit naff and only consist of a plastic lid and bit of cardboard but it gets the job done.

I might add also.... I'm in agreement, if one drown spiders in water they're more likely to live than to die. Hence how the saying/song goes "the itsy bitsy spider climbed UP the water spout..." if you keep raining them and washing them out it remains in affective... so I prefer to SQUISH THEM! use that Guinness book of world records 2011 book vector!! doooooooooo it!!!! just like the saying "hickory-dickery-dock-the mouse climbed UP the clock..." mice also do climb ever scared a mouse upward??? also " "good night don't let the bed bugs bite" those things really do bite too....

Hopefully they get washed out into the sewerage system, then crawl into up somebody elses drainpipe, in order for them to take care of the eight legged beasties. Lol. Caught a big spider scuttling about next to the front door yesterday, which got the squashing treatment however.

Was wondering where you was going with that for a minute, wasn't sure what they'd be crawling up. Well it's everyone's worse nightmare in it, one crawling up out the lavy when you're taking a number two or sh** if you prefer.. Never heard it happen to be honest but it obviously does

I kinda like small spiders, up to Daddy Long Legs size. But when they get big and ugly, I get a little creeped out. The nearby mountains here in Southern Calif have dusty-black-looking tarantulas. It's really eerie to see a spider the size of a man's hand crossing a mountain road at dusk. Years ago a friend caught several and kept them in a terrarium, but had to let them go when he started having bad dreams about giant spiders. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tarantula

Hi Leigh, welcome to the forum. I'm not as bad as I once was with Spiders, use to really shit me up. Canni imagine living in a country with Tarantulas mind. That rules out California then lol, didn't know that. It's weird you bringing this up again though because yesterday was watching the Football sat on me bed and then out of the corner of my eye saw a spider running across my leg.. I had that moment for a second where it was like, am I really seeing this?. Anyhoo was quite calm really in a sort of panicked way hahaha this was quite a big one (for the UK). Just swept it off at a great speed of knots, dunno where it is now. Probs a spider out for revenge having killed his friend or mate.. The dream thing as well lol, I've had those dreams and giant snakes even like done sweeping get away actions half a sleep. Good old waking dreams or whatever you call em
