Superhot

Wanted to play this for a while, and it didn't disappoint. Novel FPS, where everything moves in slow motion, unless you touch the analogue stick. So you have to take down all the red enemies in each scene while dodging bullets, and manipulating the stop start nature of the gameplay Matrix style. Super short at under 2 hours long, but super sweet!

Gonna write up a Overlord review before I forget the game, started Remember Me which I always thought looked interesting. Already can see it's a mixed bag, a bit like Overlord in fact and that in itself is annoying because the premise of the game the world they've created is superb but then it seems not to have been wrapped up in the bestest of games. It seems OK, missed opportunity alert???

God Of War

Lot of hyperbole over the graphics, which after playing on PC for the last few months, are decent enough sure, but little more than that. My biggest gripe is a lot of the backgrounds are shrouded in fog, masking what should be much more impressive scenes, Combat is where the game expectedly shines, with your trusty axe serving as both a close quarters weapon and a boomerang, allowing Kratos to recall it at will. The game wears its other influences on it's sleeve, taking cues from the likes of Dark Souls, Darksiders and Zelda as far as open world exploration goes, while never quite reaching those giddy heights. Solid 8/10

There is always games though no?

Tell me something I don't know.. No it's rather sad that the only person who I've ever been a hero to lives in a land of fantasy featuring characters with very low poly counts.

That Zelda's a looker though no?

Replayed Heavy Rain before starting Detroit the other week. Still an atmospheric whodunnit tale along the lines of the Zodiac killings. Love the twist at the end.
