Reminded me of the dating advice that klowglas/opossum used to get from Red Pill and share with us.

Now this brought tears to my eyes; Astro Wars. Had it played it to death and loved it, then I find out it's on Google Play but noooooooooooooo it's £2.09 pence lol... Yes I know hardly gonna break the bank but still.. Probs could emulate it, in fact surely someone somewhere has done an emulator for all these old tabletop classics.. The search begins now lol play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.beatsnbobs.astrowars&hl=en_GB

Last night had me a go on Emulation Station on Linux which works in conjunction with Retroarch.. Don't tell my dad but think I might start using that over my Nvidia shield because it's a bit easier to set up, already got it rigged up to me TV.. And and I discovered last night at last Retroarch on Linux has C64 compatibility, already shoved over all the top games on N64 last night.

The guy here isn't exactly heaping praise on it, kind of agree that it takes some setting up but once you do it's a lovely wee system to play your games on.

I'm not sure whether I'd heard of Mario Day before. Is there any particular reason that they chose March 10th for it?

I'm not sure whether I'd heard of Mario Day before. Is there any particular reason that they chose March 10th for it? The birthday of Mario I'm a guessing.. Always did rate him over Sonic, sure I've said that before Not that Sonic is bad, he's just more about glitz over substance. He appealed to the younger generations that liked speed and flashiness. So it was weird that here in the UK it was a mega hit, yet in the US who it's said like everything bigger, faster & flashier Mario still won out.. If I was a betting man I'd say anyone who does a poll on it, one of these major retro game sites maybe Racketboy, Mario would blitz it

Yeah, though they are just regular downloads, not redeemed through Steam.
Next month there's Tales from the Borderlands, SteamWorld Dig 2, Kingsway, Tokyo 42 and Dubwars.

I got the games this afternoon, installed Devil May Cry HD collection but it told me I need to be always logged in on the net to play.. Took me several attempts to get the game going and then swiftly switching the net off.. I refuse to be on the net on windows I have an issue with Windows 10 and 99% disk access whenever it's on and all the advice in the world from the net, what it could be and how to solve it including doing the virus/malware checks has proved fruitless. It's something to do with I think, windows update that certainly doesn't help.. I've switched everything off there too supposedly, and yet it still runs.. Bill Gates and his ruddy awful Microsoft Windows 10 with it's in built spyware can shove it.

i.imgur.com/QWyCLnG.jpgI maybe a relative novice when it comes to online multiplayer gaming these days so may not necessarily know my stuff, but have to say I thoroughly enjoyed the adventures of Leo and his partner in crime Vincent. I'm thankful to even have a friend I can play a game with these days (cheers PV). He kindly let me play the part of Vincent aka V-man, kinda makes sense don't it? lol. Who along with his prison break buddy Leo (PV) come embroiled in an adventure, a story that is as rip-roaringly entertaining as any recent action film you care to mention. With production values that belie it's indie roots this is the Liam Neeson of action games is how I'd heartily describe it. Yes maybe it's not be for the purist, it relies heavily on QTE-style action sequences throughout and a fair chunk of button mashing (not entirely as some would have you believe and hey I love button mashing) and oh boy are these sequences exciting. Made even more satisfying by having to rely so heavily on each others fast reflexes, powers of deduction, exploration skills along with as would you expect shooting and driving prowess. There's nothing quite like helping out a friend in need, saving each others bacon in the closest of scrapes.. If I could have virtual high fived PV I would have lol. All this comes courtesy of a beautifully crafted split-screen buddy system, that works nigh on effortlessly (give or take a few issues here and there). Working together as a pair of inmates to break free from prison and find those responsible for double crossing and murdering their families respectively, this is a story that would truly give any Hollywood blockbuster a run for it's money. And what's more it has a multitude of mini games to wade through too, shame there was no proper arcade but hey can't have everything.

I've read bits and bobs of Gamespots review, them saying the story ain't all that and it's not as emotionally engaging as it hopes to be.. It seems a very nitpicky review, a very personal one that oddly enough makes the reviewer come across as an almighty prude. God I don't trust these game review sites as I know from experience they give so called AAA titles a lot more leeway than indie developed ones.
"Some lines in particular are cringeworthy--during one sequence in which a couple are interrupted while having sex, a female extra instructs her male partner to shut the door by saying, "I'm gettin' cold in my lady parts."... I have got a joke for this but I best not and he's got who said what to who wrong as well I believe..
"Why does the shitty writing in Uncharted games get a pass while the shitty writing in this game gets it panned?"..
