Hello, I'm a budding game developer from Sweden, and it has always been my goal to make a conceptual Flash game called spark game that is playable on browsers. I have 40% of the Flash game made, but I am having issues with my sprites. My game makes use of pixel-like art (to give it a retro look) and I use Flash's built in art tools for this; however, I feel Flash's workspace is very limited (for a beginner, at least) when it comes to making impressive looking graphics. Can you suggest a tool I can use for making pixel art for Flash games? All sorts of help are appreciated! I didn't find the right solution from the internet. I don't know for sure if they're still using this forum though as it's been dead here for a week or two.

humblebundle occassionally offer game development software on the cheap, and I've noticed quite a few sprite creation programs in bundles theyve done in the past. Might be an idea to keep your eye open for the next one they do.

I've not looked into that kind of thing for ages.. I thought it was HTML5 everyone was using these days to make games
The one game creation kit that springs to mind is unity.. Anyhoo if you google pixel art maker there's quite a lot of options
