Probs do a winter theme first going into winter then a lovely wee shinny Chrimbo one.. Wonder if I can put animated Christmas lights up? be disappointed if I can't Mince pies anyhoo, can eat those all year round.. Well I use to, blasphemous I know but not had one in donkeys. As for the stolen cake, canni recall em It's not really winter for a while yet I reckon. In my opinion, after the Halloween theme I'd like to suggest that we go for an autumn theme. |

As for the stolen cake, canni recall em Or animated snow.... wait.. don't do animated snow. Remember it used to be annoying on other sites, snowing everything down to a crawl. Pun intended. Oh I thought of animations too but as you say it can slow down your site to a crawl. Ivy has mentioned the Halloween countdown which I put on crazy chums slowing down the site a bit. I've not seen much of a hit myself but then I've still got a decent computer to be viewing it on I know crazy chums will need a fairly powerful setup or decent at least and there's a hit on here too from the tweaks I've made. Don't think it to bad though, hope not. Buddypress (as used on crazy chums) as I've read it can be bit of a processor hog as well, which is why I went about streamlining it a little and in the process I've made it simpler too. |

Yeah I'll do Autumn first, thing is you get a limited space in which to do these themes and I've discovered you can save them separately then load them back in again later. So how many you can squeeze out of that limited space I'm not entirely sure. Don't think it's gonna be to many but I'm hoping at least half a dozen and that's probably not even gonna be close.. Well maybe, gonna be doing some heavy duty image compression |
