Hahaha and still we're stuck on 5 members.. All we are saying is give us a 6th We need other mates to join to at least bring it to 10 which then might get people thinking this could be slightly interesting.  I have 3 mates who simply won't join, not even as a favour lol. |

Amity obviously has more friends on FB which I barely used for three years.. Plus she has a premium account on NLL so can message people about the forum
Tiger suggested sending out smiles, which might be an idea.

I've added a little something to the reply section, next to attachment on the right is the option to automatically upload an image and have it display.. Didn't like how the original attachment always actually wrote attachment.. This uses imagebb

If only I was already well underway to building a site, what with NLL actually collapsing before our very eyes.. The face of NLL is literally melting off on the incredibly melting site. Have you told Jim about it Yooz? maybe you shouldn't |

Just wanna see what they have to offer Hostgator, I want unlimited MySQL databases too really.. Though just having Wordpress might be good enough
So what would make a good site then, anything people would like to see?. If you could change NLL in anyway, how would you do it? what features would you like to see. I know this forum can be integrated easy enough

I know this forum can be integrated easy enough I'd basically say, like NLL but with a forum, and a bit less emphasis on dating but a bit more emphasis on the friendship/community aspect. And with a webmaster who replies to messages more. |

This is where it gets interesting because in a proper little community there shouldn't be just one man/woman at the top but the whole community should decide. And I'm talking on every aspect of a site, what should be added or removed, what's needed. That's why I think we could build something better personally, whether it would take off or not is another matter but I'm willing to give it a shot. For one thing having it free would surely be in our favour and if it looks snazzy enough and runs well then cool...
We could look for some wordpress themes, I will in a minute and tomorrow.

I've never been a webmaster but I've been a moderator for quite a while now and I reckon that the best approach to the 2 jobs is probably similar. The key thing I think is that you can never please everyone, but what you have to do is just try to run things in a way that keeps as many people as possible happy.

Worrpress with the Buddypress plugin seems to be the most popular route or WP Symposium / WP Mingle. They just basically add the social network to a wordpress site and there's BBPress for a forum.. Sure there's loads of others too and I've looked into chatrooms and that's another addon you can get as well. It's all there hopefully the tools we need.
